About this event

Date: Tuesday 7th March 2023
Time: 2.00 - 5.00pm (the last hour is writing time)

This online workshop, delivered on MS Teams, is aimed at Library staff who teach HE students (in HE, FE or placement settings); if you plan, deliver or assist with teaching, training or coaching, this is for you!

Sarah George and Jennifer Rowland from the University of Bradford are leading this workshop.  They are librarians with HEA accreditation, and are HEA mentors and examiners.

Activities will include

  • Are you a Principal Fellow in the making? What level would suit you.
  • Presenting your evidence; choosing good examples, mapping to the UK Professional Standards Framework, the problem of assessment
  • Dealing with the fear of reflective writing and getting it done
  • Time to work on your own applications in the final hour of the workshop - we can answer questions and give short feedback

Sarah and Jennifer will share resources to help you identify your best points to put forward, and tips on demonstrating the necessary knowledge and values.

Please come with ideas and questions!

If you aren’t already working on an application, have a quick look at the Dimensions of the UK Professional Standards Framework in advance to put the event into context.
